Brian Barker is a graphic designer and artist from northwestern North Carolina.

Brian has always loved creating art, even from childhood, when he was rarely caught without a pen/pencil and paper at hand. He loved art throughout school and was nominated twice to attend the North Carolina Governor's School in Art. He attended a local college where he received an Associate degree in Fine Art and went on to complete a Bachelor's degree in Communication Art from East Carolina University. He is currently working on a Master's degree in Liberal Arts from UNC-Greensboro.

After college, Brian worked with several small advertising firms until finally landing with a Fortune 50 company where he acted as co-manager of the advertising department and a senior designer for their retail website.

Finally deciding that the corporate world wasn't where he wanted to stay, Brian moved back to his childhood hometown and began a small photography business, doing weddings and events. He now teaches graphic design as lead instructor at Wilkes Community College and is one of the official photographers for MerleFest, the Americana Music Festival, held yearly in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

Brian currently resides just east of Boone, NC with his wife and two children.
