Douglas is a photographer and digital artist who loves art in it's many forms and tastes. He finds inspiration and wonder in the many mediums and artists around the world, which has helped to inspire him in creating his own small gallery of work filled with all that his eyes can take in around him and finally share with us. His work starts in Photography as a personal passion, but reaches into mediums that you will see growing on the DecalGirl site with Graphic Design and Painting, as well as mediums outside of the these such as both the fiction and non-fiction writing projects he's currently working on.

Douglas was blessed with parents that passed on genes from both the left-logical and right-creative sides of the brain. Genes that both he and his brother (sole graphic designer for skateboard company Skeleton Inc) and he have taken into second careers while they both work in more analytical fields during the day. Their Mother has worked as both an educator and an accountant, while their Father had been a photographer for the military and even an amateur car-racer. Releasing his creativity is as much a personal need to express himself, as it is a hope to reach others and make them see the interesting and sometimes simple beauty that we all take for granted sometimes.

Because most of Douglas' designs started as large wall art, they transition beautifully into slightly smaller versions of art you can carry with you and enjoy daily on your favorite electronic "works of art". However, for those of you that are looking to own his work in both the small and large scales, you'll soon be able to visit him in person at the upcoming "Eye In Vision" gallery he's in the midst of opening in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas, Texas by September 2010.
