Sal Nunzio

Sal Nunzio (aka Jim Martin) was born on an onion farm in Uvalda, GA in the late 1960's. When he was ten years old, his father created the secret formula to stone wheat thins and moved the family to Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was in Canada that Sal discovered his love for all things creative. Life just didn't seem important if he wasn't making something. A job at sea gave Sal a strong work ethic and he learned the value of good personal hygiene.

Back on dry land Sal got his first 35mm camera and started shooting everything. It was this trial and error process that helped him find his eye for detail and the strength to stay on task. Photography became his first love and it was this field that paved the way for many other areas of the artistic world. With the advent of the digital age, Sal became even more inspired. Fine tuning ideas and concepts became a much more inventive process.

After struggling for many years in the real world, Sal finally found a place where he has been accepted as one of an elite group of very visionary and unique designers and artists. DecalGirl is where his creativeness really found a home and a place to shine. "Everyday is a learning experience, if you are not learning you might as well go home and eat poop ".
