Originally from Indiana, Tim earned a BFA in graphic design at Ball State University. From there he was off to Chicago, where he began his career as an art director for Frankel & Co. doing promotional design work for Target and Marshal Field’s. Finding himself interested in pursuing illustration he worked for a small educational publishing firm creating line art for textbooks. Ready to make a life change and to find new creative challenges, he made his way to New York City.

He first worked as a designer for Drive Communications doing book covers and trade show graphics and then for the NBA where he designed retail store graphics. Eventually he established himself as a freelance illustrator and designer working for various media companies. Tim has had the pleasure to work with a diverse list of clients such as the Wall Street Journal, NBA/WNBA, GLSEN, Sylvan Learning, Disney and Scholastic. He is also currently licensing his work and creating new works to be licensed.
