The OEM Xbox 360 controller shell uses special security-keyed Torx screws, making
disassembly a bit challenging. While some use standard screwdrivers or even go to
the trouble if grinding or breaking the center portion of the T8H screw head.
This special "L" shaped key has T8H ends to precisely fit the screws and makes opening up the
controller a breeze. Torx security tools are fairly hard to find and aren't available
at most of the larger retailers and hardware stores. We consider this to
be the most cost-effective tool and recommend it for anyone swapping their controller shell.
