Kelly Rae attended college at Florida State University, where she decided to major in something “practical”—social work. In 1999, she met her husband John and they set off to begin a new life together in Portland. Kelly Rae’s heart kept tugging and pulling her towards something big, brave and new. In 2005 Kelly Rae decided to put paint onto paper and pursue a thoroughly “impractical” dream: to become an artist.
Three short years passed. Kelly Rae’s heart exploded with renewed passion and joy, and her artwork spread like wildfire, reaching thousands of fans via licensed product collections and her own website. She’s the bestselling author of Taking Flight: Inspiration & Techniques to Give Your Creative Spirit Wings, author of the popular e-book series Flying Lessons: Tips & Tricks To Help Your Creative Business Soar, and the creator of the well-loved online painting ecourses Hello Soul, Hello Mixed-Media Mantras and Spirit Wings.
Kelly Rae genuinely believes that anything is possible, if you take one baby step of bravery after another.
