The one thing that I loved most about the Solid State Black skin, was that it did was Apple didn't. It made my black iPhone, black all around. I love the fact that the decal covers even the sides. The only reason its missing one star is because they use the same exact cut out specs for the SE as they do for the 5s. I have both and have ordered both skins at the same time (both solid state: black for my SE, ,and white for my 5s), thinking it was going to fit each phone the way all their other decals fit devices... (to perfection.) But unfortunately, the 5s skin fit perfectly, where as the SE skin (which is cut to the specs of the 5s) didn't fit so well. Because the SE is slightly bigger (depth-wise) by something as small as 1mm and/or less, it was very apparenty when it came to applying the decal. I wasn't able to freely access the sim card port, as well as the silent toggle and ended up having to alter the decal to fitment. Its really no big deal, but it defeated the purpose of making the phone all black when you can clearly see parts of the frame, being silver. My fix for it was purchasing a black bumper to cover the entire frame of the phone. It worked and all, but I shouldn't have had to. I personally hate phone cases, and prefer decals only because I want to protect the phone itself, without the bulkness of a phone case. Which is why I prefer decals over cases, as I rarely drop my phone. But again, this is just my preference, and this one mishap doesn't change my opinion of DecalGirl. I still, am a repeat purchaser, and I still would recommend DecalGirl to any and everyone for my coverage and/or protection needs!
