DecalGirl skins are made of premium automotive-grade cast vinyl. Our vinyl has a special adhesive backing that prevents air bubbles during installation and leaves absolutley no goo or sticky residue when removed.

Our skins are strong but super thin, measuring about 5 mil total - or five thousandths (0.005) of an inch - that's thin! It also means they'll work with just about any kind of dock, charger or case on the market.

All DecalGirl skins are super easy to apply. If you can put a bumper sticker on your car, you can install one of our skins.

All DecalGirl skins peel off by pulling on them firmly and slowly. They won't leave any goo or sticky residue behind, so that shouldn't be a concern.

If for any reason you have a problem or it seems difficult to remove, we've found that applying a little bit of heat (sunlight, a lamp or a quick shot of heat from a blow dryer) really makes removal much easier.

On special finishes we strongly recommend using heat before pulling it off. This especially applies to chrome type finishes found on many cellphones, game consoles and laptops.

Some devices require a little extra help. iPods skins, for example, remove best if you hold down the click wheel as you pull off the skin. Macbooks skins come off easiest when the lid is closed.

Sorry, they're meant for one time use only and are not reusable.

They are adjustable during the application process but once they have bonded you will more than likely stretch the skin when you remove it.

You can certainly remove and get a new skin at any time as they are 100% removable!

No, it's for a sensor.

Many devices have proximity or ambient light sensors just under the surface that are hard to see but need to be exposed. For example, there are two cutouts near the earpiece of iPhone that may appear to be a mistake but are actually cutouts for the proximity and light sensor of the iPhone.

This proximity sensor deactivates the display when the iPhone is held near your face during a call - if it gets covered up, this feature will be disabled. That's why there's an extra hole cut in your skin.

If your device supports wallpaper and our product image shows the art from the skin continuing through the screen area, your skin will come with a special code to download the wallpaper from getmywallpaper.com.

To get your free matching wallpaper, visit getmywallpaper.com and type your information in the appropriate fields. The code for the wallpaper that matches your skin is printed on the skin.

Please allow 10-15 minutes for your wallpaper to arrive via e-mail. If you have not received your wallpaper after 15 minutes, double check your spam and junk folders to see if it is mistakenly being flagged as spam.

The three most common ways to get your wallpaper onto your device are:

1. The first (and easiest) method is email. If you have access to email on your device, simply forward the attached image to your device's email address and download the attachment.
2. The second option is saving the image to your desktop or laptop computer and using a USB cord to transfer it to your device. On Windows computers, when you connect your device a dialog box should pop up that asks what you'd like to do with this device. If you are using a Mac you'll want to open finder and locate your device in the left menu. Choose the option that allows you to view the files on the device. You can then copy and paste the wallpaper image onto your device. This option may require consulting the user manual that came with your device.
3. The third option is transferring the wallpaper image from your computer to your device using a memory card. Using your device’s memory card (usually sold separately), you can add the wallpaper file to the memory card from your computer and then put the memory card back into your device (this is how we test 99% of our wallpapers). If your computer does not have a memory card reader, you may need a memory card reader/adapter.

After you've got the wallpaper image copied over to your device, "setting it as the wallpaper" can usually be found in the device's "Settings" menu, under "Display" although each device is different. You may have to do a quick google search or consult your device's user manual. Please note that due to differences in color profiles, some variance in color is normal.

Customers outside of the United States may be required to pay these fees to the courier as applicable, upon delivery. Charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
