The Basics
- Upload the largest image available (jpg or png) using the recommended sizes below.
- If you have complex text or lots of layers, consider using an image editor like pixelmator or photoshop first, then export your final image as a flattened .jpg to upload.
- Don't use any copyrighted images, logos or characters, etc. in your custom designs.
- Any areas not covered by artwork or a solid color will print white, not clear.
- Pay extra attention to the pink and black boundaries on the template.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size and type of image should I upload?
When in doubt, upload the largest image you have. The maximum upload size is 15MB and we'll let you know if your image is too small when you place it on the device. Check the charts above for the suggested minimum size for different device types. Use high quality JPG images, in RGB color, without any color profiles attached (as we have to strip them out anyway).
What's up with the pink and black lines on the template?
When laying out your design, you'll notice different colored lines on the layout template. Since we're dealing with a 2D representation of a 3D product, we need some extra room to wrap your image around the item - so it's critical that your artwork extends all the way to the black line, or you'll end up with white edges on your item. The solid pink line shows the approximate face of the surface - anything outside the pink line will likely be wrapped around the edges of your item.
Can I upload anything I want?
No, absolutely not. We manually review all orders before producing them so be sure that you created the artwork or have permission to use it. Don't use names, characters, celebrities, trademarks, logos of companies, sports teams, colleges/universities, clubs, or organizations unless you represent that brand or company and own the copyright. Also, don't upload any sexually explicit content or pornography, or any content that contains hateful, defamatory or discriminatory content against any individual or group. We don't want to print that stuff. Thanks!
What is pixelation?
When you enlarge a bitmap image too much or try to print it too large it can become pixelated. This means the image will look blurry and you'll see blocky color squares (pixels) that make up the digital image. An orange indicator will appear in the upper right corner if we think an image may not print well as a result of pixelation.
Does my skin come with matching wallpaper?
Yes! On supported devices, you'll see the artwork is visible in the screen area when you preview it. Your skin will arrive with a custom code printed in the excess to download the wallpaper.
Can I return my skin if I don't like it?
In the rare event that there's a defect that our team missed, we'll replace the skin at no charge. We can't issue refunds or give you mulligans because you don't like the design or artwork that you created - that's out of our control.
