Material is a little too thin. When applying you can deform the skin causing an incorrect fit leading to wrinkles in the material. Take your time and try to get it right the first lay.
Hey Robert - thanks for the review! Yes, the automotive-grade cast material is thin - it's made to wrap complex curves and objects and stay dimensionally stable. Thicker, calendared materials shrink over time and won't stay bonded to moderate curves. That said, if you had wrinkles - you can peel it back, apply some heat with a hairdryer and the material will 'reset' to its original shape. In the event you end up messing the skin up during installation, we typically send a free replacement piece for the cost of shipping. Let us know if you need to replace any of your MacBook skin!
