Why does my image not size up to complete the canvas on a custom skin?

If your art can't be stretched to fill the canvas, it's because the image is too low resolution for the size of the skin. High-resolution images can always be sized down for printing, but low-resolution images cannot be sized up without losing quality.

When images are made for online use, they’re often saved at lower resolutions (72–96 DPI) to load quickly on screens. But printing needs much higher resolution (usually 300 DPI or more) to stay sharp. If you try to enlarge a low-res image for printing, it will look pixelated or blurry.

For best results, always upload the largest, highest-quality image you have (max upload: 15MB). Use high-quality JPGs in RGB color, without attached color profiles. And check our sizing charts for the recommended minimum image sizes by device.
